How do I create a Purchase Order Line for an electronic resource that was already activated?
Answer
Search your IZ for the electronic collection or electronic portfolio.
Select "More actions" (ellipses), Order.
Create a POL, selecting the appropriate POL type. Enter renewal date and renewal reminder period, if the collection or portfolio is a continuing resource.
Select Order Now, to immediately bundle the POL into a Purchase Order (or) select Save and Continue to let the overnight job run.
Alma adds the newly ordered electronic collection or portfolio to the Electronic Resource Activation Task List. Since the resource is already activated, this task can be marked Done.
NOTE: If you receive an error message that the electronic collection bibliographic record is suppressed, use More actions (ellipses) to select Unsuppress. Once you're returned to the Task List, use More actions to select Done. You'll be asked to confirm that you are activating a suppressed record. This is fine! There is no need to actually unsuppress then supress the record in the MDE.
If you don't use Alma Task Lists, this step may be ignored.
