How are Matching Records handled in the MD Editor?
Answer
The Network Zone (NZ) is configured to match bib records on the OCLC# (MARC 035 $$a). SUNY IZ configurations should match the NZ configurations.
Steps to ensure that records are being matched properly in the MD Editor and what to do when when a match is found:
- Check the following settings under Configuration>Resources>General>Other Settings to make sure that the OCLC# is set as the match point:
- non_serial_match_profile = com.exlibris.repository.mms.match.uniqueOCLC
- serial_match_profile = com.exlibris.repository.mms.match.OCLCSerialMatchProfile
- Ignore_cz_records: true.
