How do I get an item out of Transit?

If an item gets stuck "In Transit," it needs to be scanned in at the desk that has been configured for your library to receive. The two most likely receiving desks where new items needs to be scanned in after being received, cataloged, and they are ready to be shelved are the:
- Circulation desk
- Acquisitions department
To scan in items at the circulation desk:
- Make sure the the location is set to the Circulation desk in the upper right hand of the Alma screen. Note that if you previously clicked Always show current location the name of the desk will appear instead of the location icon
- Go to Fulfillment>Resource Requests>Scan in Items
- Make sure In-house Use is unchecked
- Scan the barcode in the Scan Item Barcode field
- The item is scanned in and ready to be shelved
To scan items in from the acquisitions department:
- Make sure the the location is set to the Acquisitions department in the upper right hand of the Alma screen. Note that if you previously clicked Always show current location the name of the desk will appear instead of the location icon
- Go to Acquisitions>Post Receiving Processing>Scan in Items
- Make sure In-house Use is unchecked
- Scan the barcode in the Scan Item Barcode field
- The item is scanned in and ready to be shelved
