How do I customize the borrowing and lending request list interface?

The February 2023 Alma release added the ability to customize the borrowing and lending resource sharing request list interface. You can now do the following:
- customize how brief request record display
- customize how full request records display
- customize the request action dropdown
All users who can access the borrowing and lending resource sharing request lists can customize those lists. Customizing those lists will not impact other users at your institution unless you specifically choose to customize the full record display for the entire institution.
Customizing the borrowing request list will not customize the lending request list. The two lists must be customized separately. Once an aspect of the request list interface has been customized, a green dot will appear next to the customization link for that aspect in the customization menu.
Customizing the Brief Request Record Display
By default, a brief request record looks like this:
You can move fields or hide fields by following the steps below. If you'd like to change which request action link appears next to the ellipsis, please see Customizing the Request Action Dropdown.
1. Click the gear icon at the top of the request list and then click the Record Customization link. A Record Customization window will open.
2. To move a request field, either drag it up or down within a column or drag it left or right to a different column. To hide or unhide a request field, check or uncheck the box next to that field. To reset your view to the default view, click the Reset to Default link. Once you have made your desired changes, click the Apply button.
Customizing the Full Request Record Display
When you click on a request in the borrowing or lending request list, the full request will open in a window on the right side of your screen. To change the order of the request information sections or to hide a section, follow the instructions below. Please note that you cannot customize the display of request information within a section. You can only reorder or hide sections.
1. Click the gear icon at the top of the request list and then click the Details Customization link under the User Customization heading. A Sections Customization window will open.
Note: Clicking the Details Customization link under the Institution Customization heading will customize the full request record display for everyone at your library.
2. To move a section up ow down, drag it up or down in the Display Sections list. To hide a section, drag it down to the Hide Sections list. To revert to the default view, click the Reset to Default link. Once you have made your desired changes, click the Apply Changes button.
Customizing the Request Action Dropdown
You can customize which request action appears next to the ellipsis in the brief request view and reorder or hide the request actions that appear when you click the ellipsis by following the instructions below.
1. Click the gear icon at the top of the request list and then click the Actions Customization link. An Action Customization window will open.
2. To make an action link appear next to the ellipsis in the brief request record view, drag that action to the very top of the Action Customization list. To change the order in which action links display, drag them up or down in the Action Customization list. To hide an action, drag it down to the Hide Actions section of the Action Customization list (you may need to scroll down to see that section). To revert to the default view, click the Reset to Default link (you may need to scroll down to see it). Once you have made your desired changes, click the Apply Changes button.
