Primo VE defaults to display the “Vernacular Title” (MARC 880) before the “Title” (MARC 245) for non-Romanized titles. Displaying the Non-Romanized titles first in the Primo VE brief record display may confuse end-users when they perform Romanized title searches.

To remove the “Vernacular” brief record display field:

1. Go to Configuration>Display Configuration>Configure Views
2. Click Edit from the View(s) ellipses
3. Click on the Brief Record Display tab
4. Click Edit from the ellipses of Vernacular Title ; Title display field
5. Click the Customize link if the ellipses do not display under Display Fields
6. Click Delete from the Vernacular Title ellipses
7. Click Done
