How do I configure a Fulfillment Policy?

Answer

Fulfillment Policies determine how items can be requested and loaned and how those requests and loans behave once they're created.  Fulfillment Policies are grouped into Terms of Use, which are applied by Fulfillment Unit Rules.  In order to configure Fulfillment Policies, you will need the Fulfillment Administrator role.

Fulfillment Policies can be configured at both the institution and library level.  It is possible to create conflicting Fulfillment Policies if you're configuring them at both levels, so you should always configure Fulfillment Policies at the institution level.

Note: Fulfillment Policies should not be confused with Item Policies.  Fo more information on Item Policies, please see https://knowledge.exlibrisgroup.com/Alma/Product_Documentation/010Alma_Online_Help_(English)/030Fulfillment/080Configuring_Fulfillment/050Physical_Fulfillment#Configuring_Item_Policies
